Story Time?

I want to tell you about on of my firsts. When I first got started in my photography career, My very first wedding that I had ever done was a Wiccan wedding. I was so not ready for this client.

Growing up Baptist, I had never experianced anything like this. I did not know the culture or anything about being Wiccan or Pagen. I told the clients about me not being experienced in thier religion. They still chose me.

We had a quick conversation with the Priestess and the couple going over the plans for the ceremony. I am not going to lie I was lost on most of the convirsation. I had no idea what any of this meant.

The ceremony was on Halloween night. The Priestess cast the circle and the ceremony had begun. I shot everything I could. It was so much different than anything I had ever experianced. The beauty of nature and the couple lit by candlelight while the smell of sage lofting through the air was amazing. I cannot even put it into words the scene we had that night.

After the ceremony, I had sat down with the couple and learned everything I could. Listening to every word spoken sounded of the old sagas. I was so mesmerized.

I would love to find that again. Not that there is anything wrong with traditional weddings. I would just love to shoot a Pagan wedding at least one more time. I just wanted to share that with my readers today. I had not put up a new blog post in quite some time.
